Burdette Park/Union Township Bike Routes

Just southwest of Evansville lies beautiful Burdette Park. During the summer of 2006 over 32 miles of rural roads south of the Park were "signed" and dedicated for shared use with bicycles. These roads have long been used for recreational bike travel, but with the addition of bike route signs and two "trailheads" (at Burdette Park and Dogtown Tavern) these routes are now highly visible and should be safer to ride than any other roads in Vanderburgh County. The Park trailhead is located just north of Graff Road, where you can connect to any of the four routes. The Dogtown Tavern trailhead is at the corner of Old Henderson Rd. and Cypress Dale Rd. Both locations have large detailed maps of the routes, picnic tables, shade trees, and bike parking. Burdette Park also has showers that cyclists can use, while Dogtown Tavern sells food and beverages.  Click on this link for a portable document file (.pdf) map of the routes that you can print: Burdette/UT Routes
